What a fantastic start to the running season! The Ignite Flames running team participated in the Mountain Games 5k at Heritage Farms in Huntington on Saturday, Sept. 21. It was a tough race for our runners, especially since this was the first race for many of them! And, this was no ordinary 5k. Dirt trails, and steep hills summed up the this race.
With over 20 runners including a couple of parents and friends, Ignite fought the challenging terrain and had 5 runners place in the top 10! All of our runners have made excellent strides since the first practice. Whether they placed or not, all finished this tough race! Way to go!
